My name is Chris Nurthen, and I proudly serve as a loan officer and independent music entrepreneur — careers that let me connect deeply with people, tell meaningful stories and serve the Military community in a purposeful and personal way. Alongside those passions, I continue my Military service as a part-time U.S. Navy Reservist following 10 years on Active Duty. The Navy shaped so much of who I am, and I’m grateful to still wear the uniform while building a life and career rooted in service on the home front.

During my decade on Active Duty, I spent more than five years at sea, traveling the world by ship and learning what leadership under pressure means. Those years taught me how to stay calm in chaos, communicate clearly when the stakes are high and navigate challenges with confidence and humility. Those lessons followed me into my civilian life, especially my work helping Veterans and Service Members make life-changing financial decisions with America’s #1 Retail Mortgage Lender.
